Child Care Needs

Large interest in Breakfast Clubs- out of 70, 30 replies were from Yardley Hastings who already offer such a club

Large interest in After School Clubs until 6pm and School Holiday Clubs. 130 people showed interest for holiday requirements with Denton School parents having the highest interest in this area
Activities

Approximately 50 children use after school sports clubs

Parents would be very happy to allow their children to attend all after school clubs. Some mentioned there was little or no activities for Reception and Key Stage 1 children whereas others were quite happy as their children were tired after school and the parents wished to pursue private activities as their child grows older.

Learning As a Family

Cooking and learning languages together were the most popular suggestions in this area with sports and music following closely behind

Information to support Moving to Secondary School
Most parents knew how to access support by receiving written information but at least 50% were prepared to come in to school for informal forums, meetings to discuss themes and situations with other parents and to seek advice.
Community
There was a demand for community Keep Fit, I.C.T. and Internet Learning. However some schools already offer this, sometimes using outside providers.
Over 70% were prepared to go to other schools and facilities within in the earlier with early evening being the preferred time for such activities.
Neighbourhood
20% already help within their village community and only 2 parents came forward offering help as a result of the questionnaire.
